Professional BioMr. Chad Toporski holds a M.Ed. in Educational Leadership from California University of Pennsylvania (2014) and a B.S.Ed. in Music Education from Indiana University of Pennsylvania (2009). His certifications by the Pennsylvania Department of Education include an Instructional II for Music (PK-12) and an Administrative I for Principal (PK-12).
Prior to attending college, Mr. Toporski served as a French horn player in the U.S. Army for four years (2001-2005). He was stationed in Ft. Lee, VA, where he played with the 392nd Army Band, and Ft. Bliss, TX, as a member of the 62nd Army Band. In high school, Mr. Toporski also played regularly with the Ringgold Band of Reading, PA. An avid music arranger, Mr. Toporski has had many of his works performed publicly. These include arrangements for marching band, horn ensemble, brass quintet, woodwind quintet, handbells, and chamber winds. He continues to write for various ensembles both professionally and for personal interest. Mr. Toporski currently serves as the Hopewell Memorial Jr. High School chorus and general music teacher. Additional duties include vocal and pit director for the Hopewell Viking Musicals, director of the Jr. Viking Musicals, and Drama Club sponsor. He continues to perform as a French horn player with the West Hills Symphonic Band, Pittsburgh Horn Club, and for pit orchestras in local school districts. |
